How to use it

  1. 1

    Open Weekly review

Go to Reports and select Weekly review. The initial view chooses the latest week with a usable closed result, so imported historical trades can be reviewed immediately.

  2. 2

    Choose your week and timezone

Use Week containing, Previous week, Next week, Latest trade week or This week. Weeks run Monday–Sunday and results are grouped by closing date in the selected review timezone. Choose the timezone you want to use consistently for your reviews.

  3. 3

    Read the visual review

Compare daily realised P&L, wins/losses/break-even, the previous week, and results by instrument and direction. Read the included-result count and any data exclusions. A week still in progress is labelled and may be compared with a full previous week.

  4. 4

Revisit the trades behind the numbers

Open a highlighted trade to review its chart and recorded fills. The review highlights the largest loss, largest winner and latest closed trade without repeating the same trade. Small instrument groups are review leads, not proof of a repeatable edge.

  5. 5

Record your review and next focus

Work through the three review actions, mark the items you have reviewed, and write one measurable habit in My focus and review notes. Notes and checklist changes autosave to your account. Wait for Saving to your account to finish before closing the page.

  6. 6

Carry the focus forward or export it

Saved notes from the previous week appear as a reminder. Export review downloads a Markdown document containing this week’s figures, highlighted trades, actions, checklist and notes. You can also explicitly share a saved review through Community → Private workspace.

Understanding the data

  • The review reads the account’s full saved trade history, including historical imports, then selects results for the chosen week. It does not use a 100-trade sample or combine the journal with IG bot account balances.
  • Usable closed results contribute to performance. Open trades, unavailable P&L or required currency conversion, unusable closing dates and future executions are excluded. Break-even results remain in the win-rate denominator.
  • Reporting uses your journal’s base currency and any required stored FX. The page shows conversion coverage and the stored rate date; results are not presented as live account valuation.
  • Changing the review timezone can move timestamped closes to another day or week. Date-only records retain their recorded calendar date. Review notes and checklists are stored separately for each account, Monday start date and timezone.
  • Review actions are prompts based on recorded results. Marking a checkbox records that you reviewed an item; it does not measure improved discipline or predict future performance.
  • A local draft provides recovery when possible. Older browser notes migrate into account storage when no saved account review exists. If a review changed on another device, export your draft before choosing Load saved version, which discards that local draft.

Common questions

Do my notes appear on another device?

Yes. Wait for account saving to finish, then sign in to the same account and choose the same week and review timezone. Notes are loaded when that review opens; another already-open window may need a refresh.

What if account saving fails?

Keep the page open, use Export review to retain your notes, and select Retry when your connection returns. The local draft is retained when browser storage is available. A conflict means another device saved first; export your draft before loading the saved version.

Why does a week have no results?

Select Latest trade week to locate imported history. This review needs usable closed results with closing dates; open positions and rows with missing result or conversion data cannot produce weekly performance.

Can my mentor see these notes automatically?

No. After an accepted mentor connection, choose the saved weekly review in Private workspace and save your sharing selection. Only the reviews you select are shared.
