Does it persist in later periods?

Treat a group as a question

A positive average in an instrument, direction or setup group describes the included history. It is a reason to inspect the trades. It does not establish why the result happened or promise the next outcome.

Inspect the sample

Check trade count, date range, individual outcomes and the largest winner. A handful of trades can produce an impressive average. Missing records, different position sizes and changing conditions can affect a comparison.

Review later evidence

Write down what you noticed, then revisit it using a later period. Keep the grouping choices and timezone consistent. Cybill Insights and side-by-side comparisons are Pro tools; automatic tags and Discipline Review are available on Free and Pro.

Quick check

Five profitable trades prove a setup will keep working. Is that supported?
